Truth is in favor of you and me; for the truth of our enemies whom we have been serving here in the U.S.A. for over 400 years (whom we did not know to be our enemies by nature) is the truth that the Black Man must have knowledge of to be able to keep from falling into the deceiving traps that are being laid by our enemies to catch us in their way which is opposed to the way of righteous of whom we are members. ~ The Honorable Elijah Muhammad

Zika now sexually transmitted: CDC to Issue New Guidelines

Zika virus: first case contracted in US was sexually transmitted, say officials | World news | The Guardian
Officials in Texas have reported the first case of Zika contracted in the US mainland, and said that the virus was sexually transmitted. If confirmed, the case would be only the second documented example of the virus being passed between humans through sexual contact.
Officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed the Zika infection, while Dallas County officials said they performed the “public health follow-up” to determine that the infection was sexually transmitted.
In an email to the Guardian, the CDC also warned for the first time that pregnant women or those hoping to become pregnant should “consult with their healthcare professional if their partner has had exposure to Zika virus”.

According to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Zika virus was first identified in 1947 in Uganda, East Africa. The virus is primarily transmitted by the Aedes mosquito, while the symptoms are very similar to those of dengue or yellow fever. In human beings, after a short incubation period, the disease manifests through fever, skin rashes, conjunctivitis, muscle pain, headache or malaise.
Although it looks and feels like nothing more than a cold for the normal adult, in Brazil, the Zika disease or Zika fever has been strongly associated with the rise of a potentially lethal birth defect called microcephaly. This results in an abnormally small head and brain in the baby, and appears more frequently in mothers infected with Zika.

After the Zika virus was transmitted through sexual contact in Dallas, Texas, officials from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have released new guidelines for travelers to and from outbreak regions.
The disease primarily is transmitted by mosquitoes, but in rare instances it has been reported to be transmitted through blood transfusions and sexual contact. The officials from the Dallas health department said that a traveler came back from a Zika-affected country and passed the disease to a partner.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Wednesday updated its Zika virus guidance for pregnant women, advising them to protect themselves if their male sexual partner has traveled to or lives in an area where Zika virus is circulating.
"Until we know more, if your male sexual partner has traveled to or lives in an area with active Zika virus transmission, you should abstain from sex or use condoms the right way every time you have vaginal, anal, and oral sex for the duration of the pregnancy," the updated guidance says.

The update in recommendations comes one day after Dallas County, Texas, health officials, announced a case of the virus involving a patient who had sex with someone who had recently returned from Venezuela infected with the mosquito-borne virus. The CDC confirmed this as first known case of the virus being locally acquired in the continental United States in the current outbreak.
